Hi everybody,

In this online event, we are going to explore a wound that affects everyone regardless of gender. It is felt as a global sense of lacking grounding, inner strength, confidence, and centeredness.

This global sense of disempowerment reflects a basic and deep absence of feeling a mastery over our life, our ability to make conscious decisions and choices, our ability to feel and affirm our boundaries, and feeling life energy in the body.

But often, rather than become aware, feel, and explore this wound, we cover it with either compensations, anger, or collapse.

We call it, “the castration wound” because it comes from experiences in our past when we were traumatized and crushed in our will, our life energy, and our self-confidence.

Today, it can show itself in different areas of our life and very often in our relating and sexuality.

When as men, we experience this wound in the area of our sexuality, it is a feeling of insecurity, fear, and emptiness but because it often threatens our sexual ego, we may cover it with performance and trying to prove ourselves one way or another. Or we may please, collapse or pull away.

As women, we may cover this wound by pleasing and losing ourselves and by hiding our fears and insecurities with compensations, performance, and seduction. It can also show itself by idealizing our partner and wishing to be rescued emotionally, financially, or spiritually.

The ways we may compensate for this wound are not so much determined by our gender as by our emotional nature.

To heal this wound, it is important to encounter the profound sense of emptiness and powerlessness that is at the heart of our disempowerment.

In this Online Event, we will be exploring how we experience this wound in our lives today and how we can bring understanding and compassion, and eventually begin to feel a true felt sense of mastery inside.
